Interest List
Join Our Interest List
We'd love to have your family join the SLA community. Here's how the process works.
How to Apply
SLA uses an application process to welcome new families. Because we are a community-led co-op — where every parent teaches and every family commits to showing up — we take the process seriously. We want families who are ready to give, not just receive.
Read our Handbook
Our Member Handbook explains our values, the Friday schedule, parent commitments, and what a typical co-op day looks like. This is the most important step — please read it before applying.
Complete the Application
Fill out our online family application. We ask about your family, your homeschool approach, your faith background, and how you hope to contribute to SLA. Be honest — we want to know you.
Board Discernment
Our Board reviews every application through a prayerful process. We consider fit, capacity, and community balance. This is not first-come-first-served. We may reach out for a conversation.
Decision & Welcome
You will receive a decision from the Board. If accepted, you will be onboarded through our member portal, where you will complete registration and pay fees.
A note on our interest list: We use the term “interest list” rather than “waitlist” because admission is not based on when you applied. It is based on a prayerful discernment process. If you are on the interest list, we have received your application and it will be reviewed at the appropriate time.
Connect With Our Community
Before you apply, we encourage you to learn as much as you can about who we are. Browse our handbook, check out the calendar, and reach out with any questions.
