Who We Are
Where Families Learn, Lead, and Serve Together
Service Leadership Academy is a Christ-centered homeschool co-op in Pleasant Grove, Utah, built on the belief that education is most powerful when rooted in faith, shaped by community, and directed toward service.
Our Vision
We believe that service is the highest form of leadership — modeled after Christ Himself, who came not to be served, but to serve. SLA exists to raise up a generation of young people who love God, love others, and impact their world for the Kingdom.
Our vision is simple: families walking together in faith, parents passing their gifts and knowledge to the next generation, and children learning to lead through serving. Every class, every Friday, every event is shaped by this vision.
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Families serving together
Our Foundation
Head of school
SLA is built on Christian values. We are a community of families who share a common faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to raising children who know, love, and follow Him.
Our program is led by an elected Board and guided by parent-volunteers (Mentors) who teach each week. This is a community-led organization — every family contributes, every parent teaches, and leadership is shared.
We are not a school — we are a co-op. Families remain the primary educators of their children. SLA comes alongside to enrich, supplement, and community-ize that education one Friday at a time.
Core Commitments
Three things anchor everything we do at SLA.
Faith in Christ
Every class, every gathering, every interaction is shaped by the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We hold the Bible as our authority and Christ as our model for servant leadership.
Families Together
Homeschooling works best in community. We build a culture where families know each other, support each other, and walk through life together — not just on Fridays.
Children as Leaders
We believe children are not just future leaders — they are leaders today. From Youth Mentors to student-led projects, we give kids real responsibility and real impact.

Our Commitment
We are committed to honoring Christ in everything we do. That means treating each family with dignity and grace, making decisions that serve the whole community, and creating an environment where children can flourish — academically, socially, and spiritually.
